New York – The City That Never Sleeps

New York is a diverse city that has something to offer to every traveller. The city is well known for its iconic sky scrapers such as the Empire State Building, its wide range of catering facilities for all types of cuisines and, most importantly for women, its shopping!

Fifth Avenue is one of the most iconic places for shopping in New York and indeed in the world. It is well known for its high-end shops, which is the place likely to spot celebrities, and is regarded as the most expensive street in the world. The wide range of designers such as Armani, Abercrombie and Fitch and many more attract many wealthy shoppers. For those with minimum money in their account a walk on the street is the way to go, with breathtaking window displays and the chance to try on some of the world’s best labels, it attracts many tourists.

New York is also known for the Statue of Liberty which is one of the most highly regarded statues among the world. The Statue of Liberty was presented by France to America in 1886 to celebrate its century of independence. This statue welcomes tourists and immigrants and is a popular spot, it symbolises freedom and republicanism.

The Empire State Building – sometimes regarded as the eighth wonder of the world – is not a place to miss and is a landmark for all visitors to America. The building is buzzing with tourists, as the building gives the best view of New York. The 86th floor in particular gives a striking 360 degrees view of the city. The Empire State Building is one of the most well known places in the world and for more than 40 years it was the world’s tallest building. The tower became even more popular when it appeared in King Kong and since then it has become a must see for all visitors. Because of its massive height, the Empire State Building is visible from almost all New York hotels.

The Time Square is also a primary landmark for its city. The place is splashed with bright neon lights which gives great vibes for a place to be at night. Such is its popularity that almost every film shot in New York from a bygone era has at least one scene in Time Square.

With all this – and so much more to discover in New York – the city that never sleeps is one with opportunities for every traveller.
