Instead, it’s ideal for a quiet hour or two of people watching in the shade of the massive, ancient trees.

Weird and wonderful oddities can be marvelled at the Mercat Fira de Bellcaire, which pops up every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in the Placa de les Glories. Since the 14th century this flea market has been going strong, offering everything from intricate paintings to leather goods.
