Travel Hotel Deals on Road Trips

Whenever I find myself on the road, I always find myself having to hit up the hotels on the road. What most people don’t realize is that you’re able to save money, instead of paying full price at the counter. If you’re paying full price at the counter, then you should think better!

Always negotiate the price: When you find a hotel that you like, walk in, and ask for a room. Proceed to ask them what the rate is on the room. When they give a response, tell them what you’re willing to pay, and see if they accept. If they don’t accept, walk away, and wait for a response. Most hotels have a last minute deal. If they see that you’re going to leave, they are going to offer you the best rate. If it’s good enough, bite on it.

Get coupon books: Every state has gas stations, and rest areas along the highways. When you get a chance, stop at these places, and look for a hotel coupon savers book. In this book, you’re going to find great deals on hotels, and more. See which ones are offering the best deals, and call up ahead of time. Make sure that you bring up the coupon, and save more on your room!

These are the two best tips that I use when I’m on the road. Most of the time, I’m able to save at least 30-40% on my room. My best accomplishment was when I was quoted $109 for a room, and I was able to snag it for $61. How did I do it? By all the tips mentioned above!
