Marvel at the Beauty of Queensland

On the top of the list is, of course, the Great Barrier Reef. It is without question the state’s biggest crowd-pleaser. This magical aquatic world extends for over 1,250 miles and it is sprinkled with tranquil island resorts. It is also a World Heritage listed underwater park and people will also get to see here some of the most diverse wildlife variety on the planet. It is popular with divers and non-divers alike. In fact, there are glass-bottomed cruises offered for visitors who want to see the beauty of the reef but cannot dive.

The Paronella Park is a must-see for hopeless romantics. It is a dreamy castle built in 1929 and is now a favorite place of tourists. Because of its incredibly beautiful architecture, the Paronella Park has been featured in a number of movies. This historical treasure includes a secret garden, bamboo gardens, forest walks, as well as a tunnel of love. There are guided tours of the park available for tourists and if they are lucky, they can also catch some cultural performances.

Animal lovers will have to visit Hartley’s Creek. It is a farm that is famous for the crocodile show “Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures.” Aside from crocodiles, there are other animals that call Hartley’s Creek home like lizards, dingoes, koalas, cassowaries, and snakes. But what really makes people go here is because they want to see the “Crocodile Attack Show.” This show features the crocodile keepers as they feed the animals by hand while sharing interesting information to their guests. For those who want some souvenirs, there are leather goods made of crocodile skin that are for sale in the farm.

The World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest is certainly one of the most popular tourist sites in Queensland. The world’s oldest tropical rainforest is actually home to a lot of rare or endangered flora and fauna on earth. Aside from enjoying the lovely scenery here, guests can also do some hiking through the forest or swimming in its pristine beaches.

Another spot that visitors should check out is the Sanctuary Cove. This is one of the country’s tourism resorts and as such, it caters primarily to tourists. Its Marine Village boasts of over 80 restaurants and stores plus guests can even observe the fine art of opal cutting and glass blowing here. Visitors will surely not have time be bored for the Sanctuary Cove is also home to 2 championship golf courses, a private country club, a marina, as well as a health and fitness center.
