Antibes – A Small Town in France
Antibes is a small town which is located in southeastern France. This town is famous for its resorts. It is located on the Mediterranean in the Côte d’Azur, lying midway of Cannes and Nice.
Antibes has the Mediterranean Climate all round the year which is typical of most of the lands in the Mediterranean Basin as a part of tropical climate.
Tourism:
Its 25 km. coastline has many beaches. The city of Antibes has several museums, parks, gardens, ports and lighthouses which are popular tourist spots.
There are many museums like Archeology Museum, Naval Museum of Napoleon, Picasso Museum, La Tour Museum and Absinthe Museum. These museums offer a glimpse of France’s past and culture. The parks include Exflora Park which is famous for its flower production and breeding. Antibes is renowned for rose production, and rose bushes are present on the path leading to the sea. The Eilonroc Garden was built on a rock in the middle of a virtual desert.
The Garoupe Lighthouse of Antibes provides one of the best views of the regions from its hilltop. It is located around one kilometer away from the Chemin de Calvaire and Plage de la Salis. You can reach here in just half an hour by walking.
Church of the Immaculate Conception is a central church that was built in 11th century with stones and houses some impressive pieces of art belonging to the 15th century.
There are a number of harbors which provide an ultimate yachting experience. One can have yachts of various sizes ranging from a fishing boat to a fully fledged yacht.
Transport Facilities:
The best way to reach here would be to take a flight to the nearest airport, which is situated at Nice. Rail network is also great and railway station of Antibes is situated at the heart of the town which is located close to the Antibes town center.
