It consists of five primary townships: Chan Aye Thar Zan, Aung Myay Thar Zan, Mahar Aung Myay, Pyigyi Tagun Townships, and Chan Mya Tharzi. Aside from the Royal Palace, this famous place is where you can find the popular Shwenandaw Monastery and Sanda Muni. In addition, it is where you can find the famous Mahamuni, which is considered to be the most sanctified image of Buddha in the country.

4. Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda – It is also called the Golden Rock. It is famous to travelers because it is a gigantic natural rock which is covered in gold. This 24-foot small pagoda is on the upper part of a granite boulder. On the other hand, the pagoda and the rock are located at the top of Mount Kyaiktiyo. This particular landmark is situated near Kyaikto in Mon State. It is elevated at a height of 3,600 feet above sea level.
