Making Your Flight More Comfortable
When it comes to flying, most people agree that long commercial airline flights can be relatively uncomfortable, especially when flying coach on a full plane. Many people even avoid flying altogether because it makes them too uncomfortable to warrant doing it. Fortunately, however, there are many simple things that can make your flight more relaxing.
Consider the following if you wish to make your flight more comfortable:
TRAVEL PILLOW
Travel pillows are lightweight, inexpensive and can be instrumental to helping you get the rest you need on a long flight. Travel pillows come in a variety of forms, such as neck pillows, inflatable pillows and more. Choose one that feels comfortable to you and think how much space you have to store one.
FLIGHT SOCKS
DVT is a dangerous condition revolving around the formation of a blood clot in the legs in those who sit in an uncomfortable, rigid position for a long period of time. Flight socks are made specifically to stop DVT from developing, and can be essential on long flights.
LEG EXERCISES
To avoid the potential risk of DVT, consider doing a few simple tension-and-release exercises with your legs, and getting up to move around the plan when possible.
WATER
Many people find relaxation through an in-flight drink. While alcohol can help to calm one’s nerves, it can also serve to dehydrate you. If you plan to drink alcohol on a flight, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
EAR PLUGS & EYE MASK
If you really want to get some sleep, there’s no better way to do so than utilizing ear plugs and an eye mask. Once you try it, you’ll never be able to go back to sleeping through baby cries again.
