A Water Park in Cyprus – Why You Should Discover the WaterWorld Waterpark in Ayia Napa
The WaterWorld Waterpark in Cyprus is one of the most popular tourist attractions offered. You’ll find there is a very good reason for that when you spend an afternoon zooming down the water slides.
There are rides at the park to suit anyone’s thrill levels. If you’re a speed demon and love the really hair-raising rides, there are several for you to choose from. The Aeolos Whirlpool starts you off in darkness, then spins you around until you’re dizzy. If that wasn’t enough, you’re dropped straight through a hole at the end to plunge down into the pool below. Some other exciting rides include Mount Olympus and Zeus Zenith, known as the Kamikaze slides. They tower above the water park and let you experience the thrills of a sheer drop.
Now that doesn’t mean the water park rides aren’t suited for more relaxed fun, or for children. Apollo’s Plunge may seem dangerous, but it’s just a fun water rafting ride with a few twists and turns. You can also try the Chariot Chase for a less frightening ride. The fun is the racing between 4 people to see who slides to the end first.
There are some rides specifically for children, so this is definitely a family-friendly park. The Trojan Adventure is a shallow play area for kids, with big buckets of water and other activities. There is another shallow pool with water toys at the Pegasus Pool and Atlantis Activity Pool.
Besides the water slides and rides themselves, there are other facilities at the water park in Cyprus to make your trip more enjoyable. There are many places to eat or grab an ice cream, or you can find a sun bed to just lie back and relax. You can also rent a locker to keep your clothes in during your stay. During the summer season, the cost is roughly 30 Euros per adult, and about half that for kids under 12. The parking is free though.
If you are thinking of having some water fun on your own, be aware that a few of the rides can’t be taken alone (like the Fall of Icarus or Drop to Atlantis). You need at least 2 people for these rides, so you may have to skip them or hook up with some other single tourists. Even so, this water park in Cyprus is the perfect holiday get-away for the whole family.
