Tasmanian mountains are part of the island’s national park named Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. The park features the 4 captivating peaks of Cradle Mountain, Smithies Peak, Weindorfers Tower, and Little Horn. The best aspect of the park is Cradle Mountain which was found by Joseph Fossey. The 397,840 acres mountain is indeed named owing to its cradle-like appearance.

The mountains also offer shelter to many different types of fauna which are mostly found in the woods. Native animals which can be found in the mountain include rodents, pademelons, and possums.
