Brisbane Things to Do – Too Many Things, Too Little Time
Brisbane has a lot of ‘one of a kind’ activities to keep you interested, apart from all the normal things you’d look forward to do in a city. Having a vacation in Brisbane is like finding yourself in a wonderland escapade. There are lots of things to do and to observe. You can start from calm walking along the river to the adrenaline rush of skydiving, which is very exciting.
A good technique to set your mood when you first get there is to travel around the city through walking, by sailing at the river or by a speedy ferry. Absorb the tourist attractions and find out why the river is so central to Brisbane’s life. More extraordinary sightseeing contains historic walking tours, special art tours with fine food and wine, adventure tours, ghost tours and eco tours.
Try going to Lone Pine or Alma Park Zoo if you are an animal lover. There, you can see Australian wildlife really up close. For the outdoors kind, hit the road or go to the sea on a fishing charter, or go on a sailing tour or cruise at the Moreton Bay. You shouldn’t miss going to North Stradbroke and Moreton Island’s beaches by 4WD.
Guests and locals can view it all from the top of Mount Coot-tha or cruise the Brisbane River to South Bank’s sandy beach on the City Cat. Explore Queensland society at the new Gallery of Modern Art if you want a different take on the city, or get up close with a local at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, which is a home of koalas and kangaroos. There is also a Windmill and Old Commissariat Store which was built by criminals on year 1828.
And if you are on a budget and are really craving to explore the beauty of Brisbane, then don’t worry because there are still lots of things you can do. Here are some of them:
1. Explore the botanical gardens; it has amazing views of the river.
2. Have a picnic with friends in New Farm Park.
3. You can just also have a window shop in the Queen Street Mall while enjoying the view.

5. Take a stroll around Southbank on the western side of the river.
6. Try to know its history through asking a tour guide or from a local in the city.
7. You can also check out all the festival events of the city.
