Brisbane’s Alma Park Zoo

Quite a few people feel that you will need to travel far from the city of Brisbane to get the whole wildlife experience of the Queensland region.  There’s a beautiful zoo, located right on the outskirts of the city, that offers vacationers with a glimpse of area wildlife without ever having to leave the city and it is the Alma Park Zoo.

A lot more than a zoo, this location has a whole lot to offer its guests and is one of the primary creature attractions in the area.  Keeper Talks, as they are referred to, allow you to get up close and personal with the different animals that reside here at the zoo and these Zoo Keeper talks are held all day long and pertaining to various wildlife so you can see all of them or simply pick those that interest you and your family.

The Alma Park Zoo has more than fifty distinct species of animals available and more than two hundred animals in total making for an enjoyable day of exploration of some of the regions creatures including, cuddly Koala Bears, bouncy Kangaroos, and scurrying deer.  Certainly there are the creatures that are a bit more on the wild side including the crocodiles and snakes, which are indigenous to this region also.

You will be given the option to feel, handle and feed a lot of the creatures of the wild at this location as it’s an incredibly hand on environment offering many amazing opportunities for the more youthful members of the family who like to get their hands on everything.  There are numerous areas throughout the zoo that are ideal for those looking to barbecue or have a picnic right within the beautiful rainforest garden, plus an onsite café to get a bite to eat when the cubs get hungry.

The Alma Park Zoo is very suitably based within the city of Brisbane and affords guests all the creature experience of being in the wild without having to travel for hours to get there.  This is one tourist attraction that is worth visiting if you are staying in the heart of Brisbane.
