Auckland, or the city of sails as it is sometimes called, is a natural destination for any cruise. Not only does Auckland have a huge harbour home to hundreds of ships but also the city has so much to offer visitors.
Christchurchis probably the most English of all they cities in New Zealand with its magnificent Anglican cathedral, punts that gently glide down the River Avon and the trams that rattle along the streets.
Dunedinis the second largest city in New Zealand’s South Island and is another popular stop for cruise ships. This compact city houses a blend of old and new with a great selection of museums, restaurants, cafes and an enticing surrounding countryside.
Melbourneis one of Australia’s finest cities with a style and sophistication unlike any other on the continent. Here you can wonder down leafy streets filled with beautiful Victorian buildings before turning in to modern and contemporary squares. The city is more laid back than Sydney with life taking a more sedate pace, which creates the prefect atmosphere for touring the cities museums and galleries before sampling some of its cutting edge cuisine.
Sydneyis Australia’s oldest, biggest, most diverse and most famous city. At the heart of Sydney can be found the Sydney Harbour, easily one of the most picturesque harbours in the world and the gateway to this amazing place. Experiencing the city is a much more physical experience than Melbourne. Here you can catch the waves at Bondi, sail around the harbour, walk over the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and trot through Centennial Park on horse back. If however you are looking for something much more sedate then there are plenty of sight to be seen, restaurants to be enjoyed and beaches to relax and unwind on.
